Thank You, United Way Volunteers!

On September 11, 2025, we had the opportunity to participate in United Way of Lancaster County’s Week of Caring. A week full of volunteering that has been around for over 30 years, helping nonprofit organizations complete projects with community support.

We welcomed volunteers from Enterprise of Lancaster, Harrisburg, and even from Berks county to ECHOS to help freshen up the building for our clients. The group sprung into action, separating into teams to divide and concur a day of cleaning walls, cleaning outside client apartments in our crisis housing, and repainting our client rooms in the Enrichment Center.

Volunteers got a taste of the ECHOS mission and programs. Community Engagement Coordinator, Carrie Stricker, explained how our emergency shelter functions and gave volunteers a tour of the facilities prior to starting their projects.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to the volunteers from Enterprise, as well as United Way of Lancaster County for coordinating with volunteers.
