ECHOS receives grant from PPL Foundation
We are pleased to announce that ECHOS has received an Empowering Communities grant of $10,000 from the PPL Foundation. This funding will directly support our Enrichment Center, a space dedicated to Lancaster County residents where they can access support in housing navigation, workforce development, and referrals to community resources.
“This grant not only helps us run our day to day operations but also provides the financial means to meet client's immediate needs such as hygiene products, food items, and other emergency supplies,” said Liz Henry, ECHOS enrichment center coordinator. “It means that we will be able to cover the cost of things like a replacement ID for an individual to obtain employment, a housing application, or the cost of a bus ticket so that an individual could make their medical appointments.”
This investment will allow us to continue providing a safe and supportive space where individuals and families can access critical resources. At ECHOS, we are dedicated to serving our neighbors by addressing the holistic needs of those experiencing housing insecurity and insufficient income by mobilizing the community, connecting resources, and providing support to promote stability.
