Community Meal
ECHOS Enrichment Center has received a grant for food support. These funds will be used to host ECHOS Community Meals every Tuesday between 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm from May to September of 2026.
Meals will be hosted in the ECHOS Parking Lot as long as weather permits. If weather is an issue, the meal will be held inside. All community members are welcome to enjoy a meal.
Penn State Extension Nutrition Links Program - Session 4
Free Nutrition Classes at ECHOS — September
ECHOS hosts Penn State Extension’s Nutrition Links: five free weekly classes with hands-on lessons and cooking demos. Learn to:
Plan and cook healthy meals
Stretch your food budget
Use SNAP and other resources
Practice food safety
Be more active daily
When: Wednesdays, 12–2 PM — Sept. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 Where: ECHOS shelter dining room
Who can join: Parents of someone age 19 or younger, pregnant teens, or people 18–25 who also receive benefits (SNAP, Medicaid) or use food assistance (food bank, free school lunch). Free to attend.
Finish the course to get household and kitchen essentials.

ECHOS Benefit Concert
We’re excited to welcome back the ECHOS Benefit Concert on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Elizabethtown College’s Leffler Chapel and Performance Center!
The concert was created by Elizabethtown College student and Stamps Scholar Jonah McDonald ’28, who has combined his passion for the performing arts with a commitment to supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
After launching a benefit concert for LifePath Christian Ministries in 2022, Jonah expanded his efforts in 2025 by creating the ECHOS Benefit Concert. Now in its second year, the event will return with an expanded lineup of performers, bringing our community together for an evening of music in support of ECHOS.
Proceeds from the concert will help ECHOS continue providing housing, supportive services, and resources to neighbors experiencing housing instability throughout Northwest Lancaster County.
Save the date and join us for an evening of music, community, and impact!

Emergency Shelter Volunteer Training
Join us on Saturday November 14, 2026 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm at the ECHOS Office. We will discuss the 2026-2027 Shelter Season, provide operational updates, review our new platform Bloomerang, and connect with one another.

Clients seeking the ECHOS Emergency Shelter can begin scheduling their intake with a case manager on November 23. Intake appointments are required to access shelter. Schedule your appointment today.

“No Place to Grow Old” is a documentary that explores the growing issue of homelessness among older adults. It highlights the challenges seniors face as they experience housing insecurity, including rising housing costs, limited income, and a lack of affordable housing options. The film gives a personal look at the realities of aging without a safe and stable place to call home.

Adult Mental Health First Aid Training
Free Mental Health First Aid Training at ECHOS!
Would you know how to respond if a friend, family member, coworker, neighbor, or someone in your community was experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge?
ECHOS will host an Adult Mental Health First Aid Training designed to give community members practical knowledge and skills to help another adult who may be struggling or experiencing a crisis.
During this FREE training, participants will learn how to recognize common signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges, interact with someone in crisis and connect them with help, and explore topics including trauma, substance use, and self-care.
