At ECHOS, you are the changemakers our community needs to continue to thrive.

MAKE AN IMPACT

ECHOS started in 2016 to address homelessness in Elizabethtown and has grown into a nonprofit serving over 400 households annually across Northwest Lancaster County. Through housing programs, eviction prevention, and emergency shelter, we empower families facing housing instability.

Volunteers and private donations are vital to our mission. You provide the flexibility to respond to urgent needs and sustain programs that create lasting impact. Your contribution directly supports local families, offering hope, stability, and a path forward.

Join us in building a stronger community.

Become a Volunteer

The ECHOS Emergency Shelter is a low-barrier facility that provides immediate, overnight accommodation for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. This shelter acts as an essential safety net, ensuring that no one has to face the risks and unpredictability of sleeping on the streets during the severe winter months.

In-Kind & Monetary Donations

The Enrichment Center is a space dedicated to Lancaster County residents where they can access support in housing navigation, workforce development, and referrals to community resources. Clients can drop-in or schedule an appointment to meet with an ECHOS case advocate, attend a workshop, meet with partner agencies, or use our resources to work independently.

Planned Giving

ECHOS offers a variety of different permanent and transitional housing support options where our staff use evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care to provide external supports such as advocacy and financial counseling. Clients also engage in goal planning, individualized counseling, and are provided community resource referrals. This includes our Pathways to MyHome, Bridge House, and Homestead programs. Eligibility for these programs is determined after speaking with one of the ECHOS case advocates.
